Reporting centre on acceptance of Gays

Pink Orange Alliance,” a collaboration within the Dutch Kingdom started last year, will be working on a Caribbean reporting centre where homosexuals and lesbians can report complaints if they are being treated impolitely or discriminated against by authorities or society. This is mentioned in the plan of approach 2012-2014 on which the seven organised interest groups reached agreement on Aruba last weekend. Pink Orange Alliance promotes the interests of those who are gay, bisexual, transgender or a-sexual. The alliance was founded in 2010 on Curaçao by “Alfa” (Aruba), “Foko” (Curaçao), “DiBo” (Bonaire), COC (The Netherlands) and an organised interest group in formation for St. Maarten, St. Eustatius and Saba (SSS).

From August 31 up to September 4 eighteen representatives of these organised interest groups were on Aruba to reach agreement on a joint plan of approach and to hold a symposium.
