Clash of the Titans Boxing Tournament

Saba’s Shamiel Levenstone, age 17, will face Curaçao’s Porres Sarabia, 19 and Enoch Charles, 20, also from Saba, will face Kevin Lee, 21, from Aruba in the Boxing after Dark – Clash of the Titans Boxing Tournament at the Juliana’s Sports field in The Bottom October 27. The Saba Amateur Boxing Association (S.A.B.A.) announced there will also be exhibition matches between Gregorio Denis and Akeam Williams both from St. Maarten and between Donald Hassell from Saba and Leroy Breescoten from Curaçao. The opening will commence with the Saba Anthem sang by Irvine Riley. The judges will be Rovell Galgo, Delroy Sinclair and Derrick Goff, with Derrick Spence as Timekeeper and Rodrigo Tupal for wraps. Shawn Blair from St. Maarten will be the referee for the tournament.

The organizers plan to have a Jazz performance and Hip Hop dances by Saba Dance School as intermission entertainment. The performances are choreographed by Kelly Johnson who is the treasurer of the S.A.B.A. and the director “Saba Dance School.” The Commissioner of Sports and Culture Bruce Zagers is expected to present the trophies.
