Public Island Council meeting announced

The office of the Island Governor announced that the Island Council meeting scheduled for October 4, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 24, at 9:00am at the Government Administration Building in The Bottom. The agenda of the meeting officially addressed the proposal to “Release Island Registrar” Els Boers, an action which had already taken effect since the end of last month. The next item on the agenda is “Appointment Island Registrar,” followed by the approval of prior meeting minutes. Once the incoming correspondence is acknowledged, the meeting will proceed with the discussions and voting on “Budget amendments 2012,” the “Budget 2013” proposal, the “Division of the shares of NV GEBE” as well as a proposal titled “Request interestfree Loan.” The agenda allocates thirty minutes for the council members to ask questions, only if they have lodged such questions with the Island Governor 48 hours prior to the meeting.
