Police Force launches multilingual website

The Police Force Caribbean Netherlands launched the multilingual Website www.politiecn.com on Thursday.

The Website has sections in English, Dutch and Papiamentu and provides not only information to residents of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba, but also the possibility to ask questions and download information leaflets. Chief of Police Jan Rooijakker is proud of the Force’s new Website. “With the introduction of our new Website we will be able to inform you better about what the Police Force Caribbean Netherlands stands for, what we are doing and what you may expect from us,” Rooijakker stated in the introduction to the Website. In the near future, it will be augmented with a public database of lost-and-found items, while a digital blackboard will be made available to police officers. It is not yet possible to report crimes online. This requires an adaptation of the Criminal Procedure Law BES.
