"A Dictionary of Dutchness" – Find out what Dutch acronyms mean

Do you have to visit the IND, are your children doing VWO and do your relatives live in a Vinex area? Can you recognise BN’ers and do you know BOB? Have you got a DigiD and are you paying OZB? If this all sounds like double Dutch, then you can find out in plain English what these acronyms mean.

The website of DutchNews.nl has published the contents of a book on its website with over 400 short and snappy entries explaining the acronyms, abbreviations and weird words in everyday Dutch.
A link to the dictionary has been added to the “Tourism & Travel” – “Saba” section of our menu on the left side of this page.

You can go there directly by clicking HERE

A Dictionary of Dutchness is available as a unique paperback.
