TelEm Group extends deadline for submission of photos

The Daily Herald writes that the TelEm Group, has extended its invitation to photographers everywhere who wish to submit their favourite digital photos depicting the flora, fauna and marine life of St. Maarten/St. Martin, Saba and St. Eustatius. The company is seeking digital photos of the highest quality (300 DPI) showing the beauty of the islands through their plants, animals and marine life, for publication in the upcoming Telephone Directory 2014. “We have had a great response from members of the public who have sent some fantastic shots for inclusion in the new telephone directory,” said Marketing and Sales Officer, Cheryl Rismay. She said some of the shots are taken in back yards and some feature beautiful plants in equally gorgeous settings. “Of course there are a number of pictures of iguanas, but there are also some interesting ones featuring everyday creatures and plants that we see all around us,” said Cheryl, who is also impressed by the quality of most of the shots received. TelEm Group says any submitted work must be original and must also be of high-resolution (300 DPI). No software enhancement is allowed and the photos can only be of flora, fauna and marine life from St. Maarten/St. Martin, Saba or St. Eustatius. All submissions must be accompanied by the full name and contact information of the person(s) making the submission. All photos chosen for publication will be entered into a draw with the chance to win one of several super prizes. Interested persons are asked to send their “Beautiful St. Maarten, Flora, Fauna and marine life” digital shots as well as their name and contact numbers to: telephonedirectory@ telemgroup.an. The new deadline date for submissions is now Wednesday, August 28.
