RCN gives starting and small businesses unique opportunity on cleaning services

logo rcnRCN is currently preparing for a unique way of tendering of cleaning services  for all RCN buildings. It comes to about 80 buildings of the central government, from tax office to police station, on Bonaire, Saba and St.  Eustatius. RCN considers it important to stimulate the local economy on the three islands. Therefore, for this tender small and medium-sized companies are specially asked to respond, they can provide the services for one or more properties. Also people who do not own businesses, but, for example, have work experience in the cleaning business, can sign up for a part of this contract. The procedure will be as simple as possible and the Chamber of Commerce will help the entrepreneurs.

Matching and training

Special about this tender is that much attention is paid to the matching of supply and demand. RCN is offering local training for cleaners and supervisors. This will allow people to get a diploma in a short period of time, so they can work in the cleaning industry and can continue to learn. If the company executes the job satisfactorily, the contract can last for eight years.

Information day on Bonaire

On Friday, September 27th from 11 AM till 4 PM, it is possible to get information about the work and training opportunities.

This day is also intended for the companies in turn to let them know what they can offer. In this way we want to identify supply and demand and align this as closely as possible. The information day will be held at Divi Flamingo hotel. There are people present who speak Dutch, Papiamento, English and Spanish. When the Chamber of Commerce heard of this tender, they saw this as a great opportunity for starting and small businesses. They will organize their own information meeting next week,  where they will inform starting businesses  and other interested parties about how the Chamber of Commerce can support their registration to this tender.
