Statistics training for the BES-islands

The Daily Herald writes that Central Bureau for Statistics (CBS) will be organizing statistics training for participants from St. Eustatius and Saba November 25-26 on Statia and November 28-29 for subscribers on Bonaire. The training will be conducted by trainers from the Netherlands who are specifically in charge of teaching methodology and data collection. This will allow CBS to meet the requirements and needs as identified by various stakeholders during a consultation in April. The participants in the training are from the national government, the public entities Bonaire, Statia and Saba and the private sector. Topics that will be discussed are: the statistical process, questionnaire design and validation, sampling design, data collection, data editing and non-response, field data analysis and presentation of data results. Astrea Camstra and Judit Arènds-Toth are the trainers. Training coordinator is Meredith Daantje-Cecilia.
