Winair launches new destinations

The Daily Herald writes that Windward Island Airways (WINAIR) launched its new destinations on Santo Domingo and Curaçao last week on November 20 and 22. The WINAIR team, led by Michael Cleaver President and CEO and Roberto Gibbs Vice President and CFO were present to introduce their new flights that will be starting December 15. In cooperation with El Dorado Travel team on Santa Domingo, WINAIR had their product launch in conjunction with the 30 year anniversary of El Dorado Travel. “After careful planning and preparation, WINAIR is pleased to begin their expansion in the Dominican Republic by offering flights from Santo Domingo to St. Maarten and Curaçao,” Cleaver said. WINAIR had meetings with various stakeholders in Santo Domingo including the Dutch ambassador in Santo Domingo. The WINAIR team also launched on Curaçao with a press conference and cocktail party at the Curaçao Renaissance where the members of the press as well as airlines, travel agencies, the Curacao Tourist Board and other companies were invited and it was well attended. Both Gibbs and Claudio Buncamper, Director of Marketing, Routes, and customer service informed the press and stakeholders on the latest developments.

WINAIR offers daily connections from its main gateway, Princess Juliana International Airport on St. Maarten to the islands of Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Barth, Nevis and St. Kitts and starting December 15 to Santo Domingo, Curaçao, Tortola and Anguilla. It has inter-line partners with 13 airlines from North America, South America, Europe and the Caribbean, giving WINAIR greater depth and reach, as well as giving the passengers greater access to the destinations with value added services such as checked through baggage. WINAIR also provides charter services to most Islands in the North Eastern Caribbean and offers Cargo and Quickpac service to all its destinations.
