Police on Saba received information this week that a man had injured the throat of another man. Therefore the Dutch Caribbean Police Force (KPCN) began an investigation and spoke with the victim. The man appeared to have a cut in the neck and had been medically treated. At first the victim did not want to file a report, but later he changed his mind. The police also conducted a house search. A suspect has been arrested and questioned.
Because of the ongoing investigation, this is the only information KPCN can provide at this time.

Well this seems to have been a very serious matter. Not being a lawyer I would consider this as an attempted murder case. But I do hope that within short the Police will also come to us as they did now to inform us of the motives behind what was done. Frankly speaking I don’t think anyone in their good mind would go to cut someone throat for a free ticket to Kralendijk to spend Christmas. There has to be some motive behind of what happened. Going to prison at this time of the year in my opinion is not good at all. The way how things is allowed to go on, on this island it going get worse believe you me.
My understanding is that several local guys were “picking from his private garden” and one of then got caught! Thus his throat was said to be cut ear to ear, but he got 6 stitches, so the item was obvious ally blunt. This guy has also taken a life by his own hands in the past, and did time for this offense, I was told this by this man himself, that, that guy “dissed my fruit and threw it on the ground…so I broke his neck” I was in the gym working out, and as the manager I will speak with the patrons. But this guy is a bit off. Most have fear of him. Believe me I had to collect money from him, and he would rather sneak in then pay. Funny how his “Motto is Respect!” Cause it was and is a one way street. He really needs anger management work, and allot lot lot more!
At the end of the day we can all sit down and talk but if you don’t know both sides of the story stay quiet …..Im very good friends with mr victor and yes he has his bad ways and many stand in fear of him but once your cool with him he’s cool with you ….I saw mr victor get in many problems and tried to control himself not to go to prison and he always said he didn’t want to go back because of his mother being that she was still alive and elderly and he was trying to do something with his life ……he was busy working on his boat and everyday in his garden ……Mr victor isn’t going to put a knife to your throat for no reason and you were his friend minutes before the incident happened working on mr victors motorcycle panels together
It is NEVER O.K. to put a knife to anyone’s throat!!!! W.T.Heck is that about???????!!!!!! FRIEND OR NOT!!!!!! Come on now..let’s all be real! I am not in the least bit worried about being COOL with someone as explosive as this! My choice of friends don’t induce fear to receive “Respect”!
NO1 said it was OK to put a knife to anyone’s throat ………but if u seek for something you shall find it ……At the end of the day both parties know why the incident occurred …..PS Do the investigation because if you instigate it your just as bad.
We are not the Judges of one another!!!!
And of course the law was not invited in, or wanted… due to the fact it was relating to pot growing in the yard and being pilfered from.
I am not sure if the Dutch Caribbean is, as Holland is, where I hear that one is allowed to grow so much and not have it be illegal, I think three plants or something like that.
This, what I do know, is the facts from the mouths of those, who where there!

But I tend to agree with David Levenstone!!!!!
First off the police force didnt get in because of pot growing in a yard because the cops never knew the trees were there .The police force got involved when one suspect went in and made a statement and signed it. I dont think pot should be looked at as such a bad thing either when the same one answering was hospitalized from overdose off hmm i forgot what :). Further more i do hope your getting your info from one of the two suspects because from what i KNOW no one saw what happened besides them. At the end of the day no its not right for someone to put a knife to your throat but i do think if you Instigate the problem was warned about it and went back the next day to instigate the problem again take what you get. Mr victor might be a bit crazy but he’s not going to put a knife to his own friends throat for no uncalled reason especially in these times.
