The Daily Herald writes that Saba University School of Medicine (SUSOM) student representatives of the Alpha Omega Phi Honour and Service Society and the Student Government Association were invited by Saba Comprehensive School (SCS) Director Hemmie van Xanten in St. Johns to see the outcome of their fundraising efforts. Late 2013, the two SUSOM student organisations raised funds and jointly donated US $1,400 towards the purchase and installation of 54 lockers for youth attending Saba’s secondary school. The lockers were delivered and installed earlier this year. In recognition for their contribution to the school, the SCS Director gave the medical students a tour of the school, showing them the lockers and thanking them for all their efforts.
