New driver licenses available

Drivers on Saba are now able to obtain their drivers licenses, which are now being issued at the Census Office at the Government Administration Building . The new licenses which are credit card sized, replace the older much larger folded licenses. The same requirements remain in place to renew an expired driver’s license. Persons that wish to renew their licenses must bring in their old driver’s license, or a police report if the old one was lost or stolen, and a health certificate which can be obtained at the hospital.

As is the case with ID Cards, licenses are issued on Monday morning from 8:30 – 11:30 and on Wednesday afternoons from 1:15-4:00. The cost is 12 dollars and must be paid at the Receiver’s Office. Priority in issuing licenses will be given to persons whose licenses are already expired or to those whose licenses will expire in the next two months.

  1. R U Ready for THIS???

Well…. if you have a currently VALID Drivers License and you go to EXCHANGE it for the new Credit Card Sized one …..

Wait for this….. I was told you must go and get another Physical, $45.00 bring your proof of Residency (From Immigration…it seems having a valid I.D. Card is not enough) and pay the $12.00. So …. that $12.00 fee has now gone up to $57.00 plus any other tax stamps. ????

Hello…. it is an exchange not a RENEWAL!!!!!

So …. if you want the new format it will cost you just like renewing the License. At least that is the story I was told this morning.
