Police Saba again conducts traffic surveillance

On Thursday morning, July 17, 2014 Korps Politie Caribisch Nederland (KPCN) held a traffic surveillance on Saba in the context of the enforcement task. This inspection took place between 6:30 am and 9:00 am at the J. Sawyers Ridge Road in St. John’s.

During this inspection, more than 90 vehicles were checked, from which 25 times fines were written out for (among others): not paying of the vehicle tax (11x), not able to show a driver’s license (4x), faulty brake lights (3x), faulty indicator (3x), defective horn (1x), not in possession of a valid driving license (1x), driving with an expired license (1x) and driving in an uninsured vehicle (1x). This vehicle has been taken by the police.

KPCN calls upon drivers and vehicle owners on Saba to take their responsibility to ensure proper implementation of the legal obligations associated with the management or ownership of a motor vehicle.
