This year’s race was considered a great success, with some 50 participants including veterans of triathlons on several islands throughout the region including St. Maarten, Guadeloupe and Curacao taking part. After the success of this year’s triathlon the organization immediately put its focus on organizing the next event. Considering the interest already shown, it is anticipated that the number of participants will grow significantly.

The track for next year’s triathlon will be the same as this year’s, an 800 meters open water swim in the Well’s Bay, folllowed by an 8 km uphill bike ride on some of the island’s steepest gradients, and grueling 5 km off road section, running on one of the Island’s most beautiful trails, Sandy Cruz trail. One of the objectives of the triathlon is to be as inclusive as possible and for the first time there will be a youth section, to encourage participation of high school athletes. In addition there will be a male, a female, and team competition. Subscription for the event  will be announced at a later date.
