The Daily Herald writes that during an intensive work visit August 18-20, the Council Education Labour Market ROA and the Foundation Cooperation Vocational Education Business Community SBB thoroughly discussed the introduction of revised qualification files within the Caribbean Netherlands and took the first steps towards closer cooperation.
Secondary vocational education in Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba will make a transition to using new qualification files as of August 1, 2016. This will cause changes in the design of course content. These innovations create opportunities to better align courses with the regional labour market.
The two foundations also examined how the local recognition procedure for training companies can be equalised to that of the European Netherlands.
SBB Examination Chamber Manager Ad Woudenberg and Policy Advisor Mirjan de Lange spoke with schools and ROA advisors during a video conference at the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
Agreements have been established with ROA to further develop expertise and a quality care system.
