Leverock, also known on Statia as DJ Cash Money, was a shop steward, member of St. Eustatius Voluntary Corps VKE and of the Curaçao/St. Eustatius Association.

Leverock first visited Statia as a volleyball player in the early 1990s. He came to reside in Statia later when he started working first with Checkmate Security and later with the fire department, where he was employed for 10 years.

After he fell ill, he returned to his native Saba. It was his wish to be buried there.

Government-owned Waterman made two trips to Saba to accommodate the persons who wanted to pay their last respects to Leverock. Most of his colleagues of the Fire Department were also in Saba to bid their colleague farewell.

Not only at the Saba Fire Department were flags flown at half mast, but also in Bonaire and Statia.
