“Seadream One” arrived at Fort Bay

Mega-yacht Seadream One, part of the Seadream Yacht Club fleet, arrived at Fort Bay harbour Monday morning at 9:00. This writes The Daily Herald. Their last visit to Saba was in April. In total, 65 people got off board and spent the day on Saba. Most of them went sightseeing or hiking with James “Crocodile” John- son, and a couple of guests went diving with Saba Divers. The one-week cruise starts in Puerto Rico. People from all over the world are on board. Countries such as the United States, Belgium, the Netherlands, Canada and Australia are represented.

“Saba is not your typical cruise destination,” said Saba Director of Tourism Glenn Holm. “This high-end yacht is good for the island and gives Saba the right kind of exposure.” Island Governor Jonathan Johnson noticed the yacht was not hoisting the Saba flag, so he personally handed a flag to the captain. The guests stayed on Saba until 2:00pm and then moved on to their next destination. The Seadream will return on December 8 and will frequently be visiting Saba until April 2015. Seadream’s activities director mentioned their guests were delighted to have visited Saba.
