This is a great presentation by Rene Caderius. Everyone should make a point of seeing this. Mr. Caderius is very knowledgeable about the history of the West Indies and can answer any questions you may have after viewing the film. It also gives you a chance to see the amazing Dutch Museum while you are there. The Dutch Museum contains so many unique collections you may have to visit the museum a couple times to see everything!
To be honest Sue: I’m still learning for at school we only had some information about Indonesia and a little about Surinam but in general nothing about the WIC and the Caribbean. The authors of schoolbooks and the teachers at that time were definitely to be blamed.
I would love to see this film with my students as this is part of the History curriculum. Is there anyway this can be arranged within the near future?
