The rumble was so low and the shaking so slight, many residents didn’t even realise there had been an earthquake until messages started to pop up on social media and via various messaging services on Sunday afternoon. This writes The Daily Herald.
The earthquake occurred after 4:00pm. It appears to be related to a quake measuring 2.7 in magnitude on the Richter scale that occurred four kilometres south-south-west of Comerio, Puerto Rico (34km/21 miles south-southwest of San Juan). The quake did not trigger any tsunami or other warnings for the north eastern Caribbean or elsewhere.
