Wreath laying ceremony in Saba

May 4th, government officials on Saba gathered at the monument in The Bottom dedicated to World War II to honor those whose lives were lost during that war.
This year marks 70 years since the war ended and the liberation of The Netherlands.
Members of the Island and Executive Councils as well as the Police Force laid wreaths at the monument. There was also a moment of silence which coincided with the commemorations in The Netherlands. (Source Government Information Services)
