Selita Boutique opens at Breadline Plaza in Saba

New clothing shop Selita Boutique, situated between Verdier Restaurant and Eye Care Optical at Breadline Plaza in Windwardside, opened Thursday afternoon, writes The Daily Herald.

The ceremony started with a blessing by Father Ranulfo Goneda of the Catholic Church after which local DJ Slim started with his music, and attendants were treated to champagne and other drinks.

New shop owner Eric Granger was happy with the turnout. Granger was born on Curaçao, grew up in the Netherlands, and came to Saba a year-and-a-half ago. Granger’s parents were originally from Saba and he decided to name the shop after his late mother Selita. Granger has gained experience in the clothing business in Curaçao and hopes to expand when his shop in Windwardside becomes a success. At the moment of the blessing it was raining, which according to Goneda, was a sign of good fortune.
