This week Saba Health Care Foundation Director Dr. Joka Blaauboer is attending the Kingdom Health Care Conference in Aruba.
She represents Saba together with Commissioner of Health Mr. Bruce Zagers and Head of Public Health Department Saba Dr. Koen Hulshof.
The main goal for the Health Care Conference Aruba (HCCA) is to achieve and reinforce collaboration between the different Dutch Kingdom partners leading to the solution of common Health Care problems and difficulties.
The program will consist of four main topics discussed during plenary and discussion sessions. Health care system in small communities (in the Caribbean region), From production driven to quality driven health care, From compartmentalized to integrated care (holistic care), and Collaboration within and between the Dutch Kingdom partners.
Healthcare representatives from the 6 Islands and The Netherlands will attend the 3 day congress, including Dutch Minister of Public Health, Wellbeing and Sports Edith Schippers.
