Independent Committee Evaluation Judicial Kingdom Laws entered a new phase

The activities of the independent Committee Evaluation Judicial Kingdom Laws that accompanied the constitutional changes per 10-10-10 have entered a new phase.

The members went through the available literature on the issue, conducted an extensive written survey and consulted several focus groups on their experience with this legislation regarding the Police, the Prosecutor’s Office, the joint Court of Justice and the Council for Law Enforcement.

The committee says it did not focus only on officials directly involved, but also regular folks. Based on the findings a number of attention points have been formulated that will be further discussed in verbal interviews with over 50 persons on all the islands of the Dutch Caribbean.

The work is said to be on schedule and a report should be presented by October 10 to the four Justice Ministers of St. Maarten, Aruba, Curaçao and the Netherlands on behalf of the overseas public entities Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba (BES).
