A large turnout of local and visiting onlookers lined the streets to have a look at the colourful costumes and impressive designs. The five participating groups were: Folklor Colombiano, Tropical Fu- sion, Saba Cultural Mix, Seductive Explosion and We Carnival Madness.

The events of Saturday started with Jouvert at 4:00am, followed by the grand parade in the afternoon and entertainment by Small Axe Band from St. Kitts in the evening. Sunday’s parade followed by the burning of King Momo marked the conclusion of the 2015 Carnival Season.

Celebrating 40 years, the Saba Festival Foundation went to the extremes to make this year’s carnival an unforgettable one. “A big thank you goes out to everyone who supported our 40th carnival anniversary. Special thanks to my committee for a job well done, and of course thanks to all sponsors and persons who helped out in one way or another,” commented Saba Festival Foundation President Standford Johnson.
