All SCS students succeeded their exams this year

Caribisch Netwerk reports that all eleven students in the last class of the Saba Comprehensive School (SCS) have passed their final examinations (CSEC / CXC / Dutch Cambridge exams).

Also, all three Vocational education (MBO) students have succeeded. The four form 5 PrO students (pupils in special circumstances) have completed their school career and will receive their diploma during the graduation ceremony later this year. The form 4 academic students who have taken this year a number CSEC exams taken were also successful.

This is good news for the school, which repeatedly discredited was the last year. The school had been facing a shortage of teachers and there were problems within the school board. This also led to a protest of some students.

The Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) expects that by 2016 all schools in the BES meet the basic quality of the Netherlands.
