State Secretary Martin van Rijn to visit Saba and  Bonaire

State Secretary Martin van Rijn of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport will pay a working visit to Saba and Bonaire from September 29th until October 2nd, 2015.

This is the first visit of the State Secretary  to these islands of the Caribbean Netherlands. On the programme on both islands are meetings with the Island Governors and the members of the Executive Councils, visits to various nursing homes and daycare centers and other health care and youth-related organizations.

On Saba the State Secretary will pay a visit to the Center for Youth and Family Center (CJG) and to the Child Focus Foundation. He will also visit nursing home Benevolent The Home.

On Bonaire the State Secretary will visit Rosa di Sharon, a shelter  (?) for teenage mothers. He will also meet the district team for home care at Kas di Kuido and he will visit Cocari, a day care center for elderly in Rincon. The intra-communal living facility (all care provision within one complex) and day care for mentally handicapped FKPD and Youth Care and Family Supervision/CJG on Bonaire.

On his second day on Bonaire, State Secretary Van Rijn will visit  Villa Antonia, a small day care center, a project of the Center for Addictions and Psychiatric Care  Caribbean Netherlands (Stichting Verslavingszorg & Psychiatrie Caribisch Nederland) and the new health insurance office. After that, he will meet young people and youth workers of “Jong Bonaire”.

He will conclude his visit with a visit to Foundation Forsa
