Work group started for vocational Education on Saba and Statia

Last week the work group vocational education  Saba and Statia met for the first time. The work group has been assigned to produce an implementation plan in December 2015 for the redevelopment of the vocational education in Statia and Saba. The redevelopment is necessary because with the choice for English as language of instruction also for vocational education the need arose to use an English language exam structure. Following a thorough orientation at the end of last school year the choice was made for the vocational training system of the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC), called CVQ (Caribbean Vocational Qualification).

The aim is to have the CVQ system operational on Saba in August 2016 and on Statia most likely in August 2017.
