Disaster Preparedness Training on October 1st

On Thursday October 1st, 2015, units of the island’s Disaster Management apparatus will be holding two full scale emergency training scenarios. This training is designated in the law Veiligheidswet BES, which requires that there is multidisciplinary training held at least once a year.

During this training there will some disruption to traffic and there will be movement of emergency vehicles during the following times throughout the island.

The first scenario will take place from between from 8:00am to 12:00pm in the vicinity of Windwardside.

The second scenario will take place from 1:00pm to 5:00pm in vicinity of The Bottom. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to follow the instructions of emergency personnel.
