Saba Lions Club and Child Focus Foundation collaborated for the second consecutive year to organize a Halloween Kids Party on Saturday, featuring many creative Halloween- themed games and other fun treats, including a bouncy castle, cotton candy, cupcakes, piñatas and a special children’s Halloween bingo, writes The Daily Herald.
The prizes for the bingo were sponsored by local businesses. The top winners took home prizes donated by Satel and Do-it- Best, which comprised of an electronic dictionary, a tablet and other interactive games.
Fourteen volunteers, including Saba Lions, assisted at the various games and stations to supervise children as they participated in the activities.
More than 100 children attended with their families, and both organizations received an outpour of positive response from parents. Children showed up dressed in full costume and truly enjoyed the reactions they received from the community.
The police assisted by monitoring children on the streets, ensuring they did not litter the streets and buildings with eggs and shaving cream, which had happened in the past. Food was on sale by the Lions Club as a fundraiser for future projects.
