SUSOM's South Asian Student Society celebrated Diwali

Saba University School of Medicine’s South Asian Student Society (SASS) celebrated Diwali Saturday evening, at Princess Juliana sports field The Bottom.

Diwali is the Hindu Festival of Lights, observed in November. It is particularly associated with goddess of prosperity Lakshmi, and marks the beginning of the fiscal year in India.

Despite the risk of rain the event was well attended. The performances were enthusiastic and the crowd enjoyed an entertaining evening, followed by a feast of traditional Indian food.
