Job Shadowing For SCS Students

In order to give the students at the Saba Comprehensive School a better idea about what some careers entail, it was decided to organize Job Shadowing for Forms 2, 3 and 4.

Job Shadowing allows students the opportunity to acquire a better sense of the various job options available and the required competencies. Job shadowing also enables students to learn more about jobs that interest them and it helps in networking, exploring opportunities, receiving feedback and collaborating with professionals in fields that appeal to them.

The Saba Comprehensive School’s Form 2 and Form 4 Academic had the opportunity to Job Shadow at various companies and organizations on the island. The Job Shadowing was organized for two days, March 17 and 18, 2016. During these two days the students did not attend regular school, but spent the days in their field of interest. The students were excited about the opportunity to gain positive, new experiences in jobs that interested them.

Form 3 students will also have the opportunity to Job Shadow. Their Job Shadowing experience is scheduled for April 14 and 15, 2016.

The Saba Comprehensive School would like to extend its appreciation to all of the organizations who have assisted in making this opportunity for Job Shadowing a reality and making it a success for the students.
