As of April 1, 2016 the merger between the Benevolent Foundation Saba (BFS) and the Saba Health Care Foundation (SHCF) will be juridically finalized. The merger will help facilitate a better integration of healthcare on Saba.
For the BFS (The Honorable Henry Carlyle Every Home for the Aged) and SHCF it will lead to further professionalization and an increase of knowledge and skills of all employees.
The current managerial Board of the BFS will hand over their responsibilities to the new Boards; the SHCF Board of Directors Mrs. Blaauboer, and the SHCF Supervisory Board; Mr. Sorton, Mr. Scholten and Ms. Hassell. The current manager of the BFS Mr. van Amsterdam will continue his work.
Once merged BFS and SHCF will share the same boards; a Board of Directors, governing the organization and responsible for the strategy, policy and management of the organization and a Supervisory Board, overseeing and having a monitoring role towards the Board of Directors that the chosen strategic direction is being followed.
The merger will enable both organizations to work closer together and be more effective and efficient.
