Els Mommers wins 2nd price on international quilt festival in France

Our Saban  artist, Els Mommers, received a second price on the prestigious International quilt exposition “Biennale Internationale d’Art Textile” in Beaujolais, France.

Els won the price in the category “large quilts”. The quilt, Reinaldo, is based on the memories of her many travels to the Kuna indians on the San Blas islands, Panama. Transport between the numerous small islands is  often executed with these simple boats.
