Correctional Institution Caribbean Netherlands (JICN) is looking for a Director

The Justitiele Inrichting Caribisch Nederland [Correctional Institution Caribbean Netherlands], hereafter referred to as JICN, is a Correctional Institution where all convicts of the Caribbean Netherlands can be placed. It currently has a cell capacity of 112 prison places. Mid-2016 the JICN will move to a new location, which will involve challenges.

We are implementing our new vision and procedure and pursue professionalisation. We also contribute actively to the collaboration with (chain) partners within the Caribbean Netherlands territory and with the countries Curacao, Aruba and St. Maarten.

As an experienced director you will lead this change process. In addition, as an integrated manager you will bear ultimate responsibility for the function of the institution and for utilisation of the available detention capacity. You will ensure that the institution’s products and services are coordinated with our chain partners. You will also promote prison programmes aimed at a respectful return to society of convicts.

Job requirements:

• An academic level of working and thinking;
• Comprehensive and relevant management experience;
• Knowledge of and experience in working in Caribbean circumstances;
• You are a stimulating and motivating leader.

Job salary:

Scale 13/14 ($4,135.00 to $5,883.00 gross)
