Sale of land for Saba schools finalized

On Friday May 20th, 2016, in the Courtroom of the Government Administration Building in the Bottom of Saba, the closing took place with respect to a parcel of land in the district of Lower St. John’s.

This parcel of land is situated nearby the Saba Comprehensive School and will be used to develop a new building for the children of the Laura Linzey Day Care and the Sacred Heart School. With this closing the land can finally be further developed and payment to those entitled can take place. Those entitled to such (the rightful heirs of the Hassell, Barnes, Wilson and Winfield families in Saba) can contact the Administrator Mr. W. Johnson thereto, as he was appointed by the Court of First Instance.

During the closing, the Public Entity of Saba was represented by its Commissioner of Education, Mr. C. Johnson, who has played a key-role in the realization of this deal, next to Mr. N. Oleana being the head of RCN Education, Culture and Science. The relevant families were represented by the administrator.
