If an incident occurs, time is of the essence. Knowing what to do and who to call can save a person’s life. During the Summer, RCN together with the Public Entity of Saba have placed signs with all the emergency numbers of the emergency services on all relevant public buildings. In order to inform tourists coming to the island, these signs have also been placed at the airport and the harbor.
Now at the beginning of the new school year, the emergency services are proud to present a pocket-sized emergency card. Students and teachers of all schools will receive one on Monday August 15th. All other citizens can collect their personal card for free at the fire department, hospital, government administration building or RCN building. The advice for all residents is to carry the pocket size emergency card with them at all times. In case of an emergency, help can be easily contacted.
Later this year, the Public Entity will launch a new app. This app will contain information on what a resident should do in case of a disaster. The app, together with the pocket-sized emergency card, will give everybody the information on what to do and who to call during an incident.
