Conference on benchmark minimum subsistance on Saba

On Friday November 18th the Ministries of Interior & Kingdom Relations, Social Affairs and Employment and the Executive Council of Saba have concluded a two-day’ work conference regarding the benchmark for minimum subsistance of inhabitants of Saba. Parties held frank, open and sometimes tough discussions regarding income, care and social conditions. They managed to identify some important areas for further development and future cooperation.

In order to get a comprehensive overview of the situation on Saba discussions were held with the Island Council, entrepreneurs and representatives in education, health care and social affairs.  Similar working conferences are scheduled to be organized with the Public Entities and important stakeholders of Bonaire and St. Eustatius.
