Attentive readers noted that in the original press release of the SCS it was stated that Natalia Peterson was Valedictorian when in fact she was Salutatorian. Jordan Every was Valedictorian. The person in the picture is Salutatorian Natalia Peterson as Jordan Every is in Holland pursuing his studies and was unable to attend the ceremony in person.

On Saturday the 19th of November 2016, the Annual Graduation Ceremony of the Saba Comprehensive School took place in the Saba School of Medicine auditorium. The SCS celebrated once again a 100% passing rate with 4 students of the Academic Stream and 6 Students of the Vocational Stream meeting the requirements for graduation.
Salutatorian
Speeches were given by the new Commissioner of Education Mr. Bruce Zagers, the School Board president Mr. Franklin Wilson, SCS Director Mr. Anton Hermans, and keynote speaker Mr. Derek Spence on the theme ‘go confidently in the direction of your dreams’. The Academic Valedictorian speech was delivered on behalf of Jordan Every by Kavita Leverock since she was not able to attend, as she has already started her tertiary education in The Netherlands. The MBO Valedictorian Donovan Johnson confidently delivered his speech, emphasizing the value of vocational education and his dream to become an electrician.
Awards were given to the most improved students, for individual subjects and a first time award for outstanding performance during House Activities to Ms. Charlene de Roche and to Jordan Every.
Finally the mantle was passed on to the current form 5 students, who were given the mandate to upkeep the SCS spirit to aim for excellence.
