Town Hall meeting on Medical Evaluation and Reimbursement of Sick-Leave Pay – February 20

The Community of Saba,

As per January 1st, 2017 the Department of Social Affairs and Labour has implemented a policy change that concerns all employers within the private sector and their employees. This has been done mainly to facilitate the proficiency in which reimbursement claim, for wages paid to sick employees, will be processed.

To assist in the assessment of your claims the Department of Social Affairs and Labour has contracted the expertise of Corpora te Health Solutions. This gives employers and employees weekly access to a medical professional pertaining all sick leave matters.

The Unit Social Affairs & Labour is herewith cordially inviting the community of Saba to a Town Hall meeting on the topics of Medical Evaluation and the Reimbursement of Sick-Leave Pay (Loonderving). Employers in the private sector are asked to make a very special effort to be in attendance.

This session will be led by Dr.  Marco Chin Kwie Joe, Physician in Occupational Health and Raquel Spanner-Carty, Team leader SZW Saba and St. Eustatius.
