New garbage trucks for Saba

The Sanitation Division of Public Works, Public Works head Russell Thielman, Act. Island Governor Franklin Wilson, Commissioner Rolando Wilson, and Island Secretary Tim Muller assembled today, Friday, August 11th near the recently acquired garbage trucks.


The Island Secretary Tim Muller and Commissioner Rolando Wilson on behalf of Commissioner Zagers gave brief speeches.
Head of Public Works Russell Thielman gave everyone present a walk-through of the vehicle’s operations, pointing out new features; such as more safety and visibility for the drivers and other staff.

Commissioner of Infrastructure & Sanitation Bruce Zagers who has been working tirelessly, from November 2016 to make this a reality, wants to thank the Ministry of Infrastructure & Environment (IM) for the one time grant.
The new trucks will be operational in the week of August 14th – 18th.

    And when will the recyclable garbage will be handled in a correct way? And when will the garbage burner be moved from the location below St John’s to a place that is less damaging the health of Sabans living there?
