Saba Represented at Heineken Regatta

This week, representatives from Saba’s tourism team are attending the 38th Annual Heineken Regatta at Port de Plaisance. Saba’s booth in the Regatta Village opened on the first registration day, February 27th and will remain open until March 4th. The representatives will be promoting Saba not only to the sailors who are taking part in the Regatta but also to all other visitors who attend this massive event. Commissioner of Tourism Bruce Zagers was pleased that Saba could attend the Regatta again this year. Zagers, “The past year has been a challenge, not only for Saba but even more so for many of our sister islands. Participating in the Heineken Regatta not only promotes Saba as being open and ready to receive visitors, but it also shows our support to working together with our tourism partners during these challenging times.”

As part of the promotion of Saba, there is a raffle where visitors to the booth can submit their name for a chance to win one of two trips to Saba. The first trip includes two round-trip tickets from St. Maarten to Saba, sponsored by Aquamania Adventures and two nights for two at Juliana’s Hotel. The second trip, two round-trip tickets sponsored by Windward Islands Airways and two-nights stay for two at Queen’s Gardens Resort. Throughout the 4-day event, four other small raffles will be ongoing with prizes donated by Veronica Janzon of Saban Rock Living. Commissioner Zagers encourages visitors to the Regatta, “Visit Saba’s booth to learn more about our amazing and unique destination and enter your name for the chance to win a trip to Saba. We hope to see you soon!”
