Survey: What is Saban culture?

The Government of Saba will, on the initiative of Commissioner Rolando Wilson, conduct a so-called Cultural Survey. According to Government, Saba’s cultural environment is based on the people who have successively inhabited the island in the past, the present and will be shaped by those in the future.

What is Saban Culture?
UNESCO defines culture as “that complex whole which includes knowledge, beliefs, arts, morals, laws, customs, and any other capabilities and habits acquired by [a human] as a member of society.”
The Public Entity Saba, on the initiative of Commissioner Rolando Wilson, would like to identify the most important activities, authentic customs and characteristics that make Saba what it is.
With your help in completing the survey, great insight and information will be obtained that will help in answering, understanding and ultimately documenting the things that make Saba the Unspoiled Queen.

The purpose of this Cultural Survey is to collect the honest opinion of respondents in helping to identify and preserve the unique characteristics of Saba and develop a sustainable culturally rich economy. This survey is anonymous, and everyone is encouraged to participate: all Saban residents, traveling Saban’s, and Saban’s living abroad.

The survey can be completed online from your computer, tablet, or smartphone, by clicking HERE.Printed copies can also be obtained at the Government Administration Building in The Bottom (Front Desk) and the Saba Tourist Office in the Windward Side. The deadline for the survey is April 27th, 2018.
