Woman hit by truck in Saba

A woman was hit by a truck on Church Street in The Bottom in Saba on Thursday.

The woman was walking on the left side of the road leading down towards the centre of The Bottom when she was hit by a truck that was driving in the direction of Windwardside. The woman received a few scratches and complained of pain in the left side of her body, near her ribs. She was taken by ambulance to A.M. Edwards Medical Centre for treat­ment.

  1. Surprised that this doesn’t happen more often, seeing that a lot of drivers drive like lunatics. No laws against speeding.

  2. Police should enforce the law of driving (speedy driving and/or drunk driving.) People at risk whether they are walking or driving.
