Autism Awareness Month: The Renzo Gracie-Jiu-Jitsu classes.

This year again the students with special needs in Teacher Helen’s class at Sacred Heart School enjoyed a jiu-jitsu class on Sunday, April 7^th, 2019 at Peter L. Granger Sports Auditorium.

Last year it was a great success therefore Teacher Helen decided to contact the Head Instructor Melissa Bardfield again. The Instructor Bardfield from Renzo Gracie-Jiu-Jitsu in St. Maarten was more than happy to travel to Saba with one of her instructors Mr. Johan Munoz Rodriguez to do different techniques with the students. This event took place in connection with Autism Awareness Month.

The students were very proud to show off their uniforms and their gold medal. “Let’s keep on spreading the Autism Awareness, the understanding, and the acceptance,” said teacher Helen,
