Saba Lions Club provides picnic bench to Museum

The Saba Lions Club recently donated a picnic bench to the grounds of Harry L Johnson Museum in Windwardside. This donation was in honour of Earth Day, celebrated annually on April 22.

“The museum grounds hold such a uniqueness with a beautiful and tranquil setting. Many people come here to relax, walk their dogs or have a family outing. The Club found it at best to provide additional seating. Lions and Leos, thank you for contributing to this important work. You are truly helping make a difference in our community. Also, I would like to thank Benny Johnson and Randal Thielman for delivering the picnic table to the museum grounds,” said Saba Lions Club President Malusca Baker.

The Saba Lions Club has 36 members and meets twice monthly at Eugenius Johnson Center.

Lions clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fill those needs. Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization with more than 1.3 million members in approximately 45,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.

Since 1917, Lions Clubs have aided the blind and visually impaired and made a strong commitment to community service and serving youth throughout the world.
