Commissioner Wilson to visit Bonaire

Commissioner of Public Health, Social Affairs, Agricultural Affairs and Cultural Affairs Rolando Wilson, Head of the Planning Bureau Bobby Zagers and Head of the Agricultural Department, Vector Control and Hygiene Randall Johnson are leaving on Tuesday, September 3, for a working visit to Bonaire.

The delegation starts the day on Wednesday, September 4, with a meeting with the local housing foundation Fundashon Cas Boneriano (FCB), followed by a meeting with officials of the Health Insurance ZVK pertaining to the different developments and the logistics of Saba patients.

Also on that day, the Commissioner will visit the Mariadal Hospital to see the facilities there. The hospital in Bonaire is one of the medical institutions where Saba patients are referred to. On the agenda is also a meeting with Bonaire Commissioner Nina den Heyer after which the Commissioner will join the members of the Saba Island Council for a visit to the new prison facility.

On Thursday, September 5, the Commissioner and his delegation will pay a visit to Bonaire’s Public Health Department and Hygiene Department. Other parts of the program that day include a visit to the Jong Bonaire Forsa Nobo organization and the Enforcement and Supervision Department, a visit to the Caribbean Netherlands Kadaster Department to get an update on its new IT program and a visit to the Department of Cultural Affairs, as well as Agriculture, Husbandry and Fisheries (LVV).

While on Bonaire, the Commissioner will also visit a number of projects. On Friday, September 6, the delegation of the Commissioner and the Saba Island Council delegation will attend the Bonaire Day festivities.
