As you may know, tomorrow December 12th 2019, Princess Beatrix will be visiting our island for the day. We know that many of you would like to see her during the visit and so would like to provide you with her schedule and the best times for seeing her.

Update: for security reasons, the exact times cannot be communicated.

Some time in the morning, princess Beatrix will be leaving to go to the Well’s Bay for the unveiling of the Mary’s Point sign. We ask that the public not follow the Princess to Well’s Bay, as only the delegation will be allowed past a certain point and the narrow roads make turning around difficult

Then she’ll go to  the Fort Bay Harbor for a discussion with our local fishermen on the sustainable fisheries project and with the Harbor Master on the upcoming plans for the new harbor.

In the afternoon Princess Beatrix will be arriving in Windwardside where she will meet with the Lace Ladies in the lace room. Subsequently, she’ll go to the museum for the unveiling of the sign for the plans of the new Saba Botanical Garden and to also meet with the board of the Harry L. Johnson Museum and representatives from DCNA and the Saba Conservation Foundation.

If the community would like to see the Princess, this would be the best location because of the open area. Please be sure to follow any instructions provided by the security who will be monitoring the location.

At the end of the afternoon, princess Beatrix will be returning to the airport.
