Lions District Governor pays visit to Saba

Sub-district 60B Governor 2018-2019 Lion Leslie Ephraim PMJF from Antigua & Barbuda visited Saba on Wednesday for an audit meeting of Saba Li­ons Club.
Ephraim visited the Life Cen­tre and the Meals on Wheels programme. He paid a visit to Island Governor Jonathan Johnson, who received a Dis­trict 60B pin from Ephraim. The District Governor in turn received a coin with the Saba emblem from Johnson. Ephraim also visited the A.M. Edwards Medical Centre and The Home.

In the evening hours, the audit meeting took place where Lion Xiomara Coffie received the district gover­nor pin as the newest mem­ber of Saba Lions Club. Vice-president of Lions Club Lion Mary Thielman received a district governor pin for chairing the meet­ing. Ephraim had individ­ual conversations with all Lions who were present.

Lion Carl Buncamper MJF, Lion Rudolph Has­sell MJF and Lion Jessica Gumbs received a five-year chevron award on behalf of the District Governor,
while Lion Rolando Wil­son. Lion Franklin Wilson MJF and Lion George Wilson received a 25-year chevron award.

Five members of Saba Lions Club have trav­elled to St. Maarten for the Region 2 meeting for District 60B which takes place today, Saturday. The delegation consists of Carl Buncamper MJF, Rudolph Hassell MJF, Saba Lions Club President Malusca Baker, Vice-president Mary Thielman and Sec­retary/Treasurer Jessica Gumbs.
